About Me

at my exhibition in Dubai

I have always had an interest in art, and presently I am concentrating on silk painting. I have been teaching for the past 18 years and I have a diploma in Arts and Crafts. I have my own private workshop, where my students regularly attend my classes. I am currently associated with 2 prestigious institutes as a teacher- Dubai Community Theatre And Art Center and Dubai International Art Center. I have had a solo exhibition at the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation beside participating in several other joint exhibitions of artists.


I have traveled extensively to research new techniques and explore the craft. More recently I visited Karen Sisteck in the remote Port Angeles on the Olympic Pensinsular, USA (where the Twilight novels were based!). Abu Dhabi exhibition programme

I held a successful exhibition at the Cultural Foundation in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in the summer of 2004.
